The City of Rastatt has set up a whistleblower office in accordance with the EU Whistleblower Directive and the Whistleblower Protection Act. Active or former employees of the city administration who have experienced or observed violations in connection with their professional activities or in the run-up to such activities can report them here. The Whistleblower Protection Act is intended to ensure that people are protected from discrimination and reprisals if they report information about legal violations in their professional context.
The reporting office that has now been set up at the city of Rastatt is supervised by lawyer Prof. Dr. Werner Finger from the law firm Deubner & Kirchberg. Reports can be made anonymously, either in writing or by telephone or other voice transmission. Prof. Finger checks the reports received and initiates follow-up measures if necessary. The lawyer works for the city of Rastatt as well as for the entire re@di network. As part of the inter-municipal association, which promotes innovative digital topics, Rastatt can also benefit from synergy effects here.
