Whether to the open-air swimming pool, the cinema or the museum: Thanks to the Rastatt Children and Family Card, families get discounts at various cooperation partners.
With the founding of the Mittelbaden social region in 2020, the offer has expanded. Since then, the Children and Family Card can be used in public institutions in the cities of Gaggenau and Bühl. Furthermore, there are cooperations with the zoo and the natural history museum in Karlsruhe, the Okidoki Kinderland in Bühl, the children's music world Toccarion in Baden-Baden and the Unimog Museum in Gaggenau.
Who is entitled to the Child and Family Card and where can it be obtained?
The Rastatt Child and Family Card is available to families who live in Rastatt and have at least one child under the age of 18 in their household. Older children are excluded from the offer. The card is free of charge and can be obtained from the citizens' office of the city of Rastatt. As a starting credit, the city of Rastatt gives families a one-time gift of 15 value vouchers of one euro each.
Who receives the Child and Family Card plus?
The Kinder- und Familienkarte plus gives young people from families with lower incomes access to social life. The card is intended to promote equal opportunities for all children and young people in Rastatt. Families receive the Kinder- und Familienkarte plus
- with at least three children
- Single parent
- Families with a severely disabled child
- Families who receive Hartz IV benefits or are entitled to a child supplement or claim benefits under the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act.
In these cases, families receive 25 vouchers of one euro each for each child in the family in addition to the child and family card. The Family Card plus can also be applied for at the citizens' office of the city of Rastatt.
If desired, families can also apply for the State Family Pass Baden-Württemberg at the citizens' office in addition to the Child and Family Card plus , which allows them to visit many excursion destinations throughout Baden-Württemberg free of charge or at reduced rates.
