In Rastatt, people with disabilities should help shape the city and contribute their experiences - especially in local politics. The Expert Group on Inclusion represents their interests and gives people with disabilities a voice and a face.
Chaired by Lord Mayor Monika Müller, the participation forum, which consists of around 60 members, meets once a year. It discusses issues that affect the equal participation of all people in social life in Rastatt. The experts are also regularly involved when it comes to urban design measures, such as the modernization and barrier-free expansion of the Rastatt train station, the planning of barrier-free bus stops or the installation of a guidance system for the blind in municipal buildings.
Anyone who wants to get involved and accompany Rastatt on its way to becoming a barrier-free city is welcome at any time. Anyone interested can contact the Inclusion Service Center.
