The Rastatt youth delegation also offers information events in secondary schools in cooperation with the city. For the first time, people aged 16 and over are also entitled to vote.
The information events of the youth delegation will take place on:

Workshop for first-time and new voters
On Saturday, April 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., a workshop on local elections will also be held especially for first-time and new voters at the Jugendtreff, Herrenstraße 28. The workshop is divided into the following thematic blocks: Why vote? Local elections explained simply, and courageously through the "election jungle". Registration is not required.
Information event "How to vote?"
Another information event on the local elections for all interested citizens will take place on Monday, June 3, under the motto "How to vote?" at Rossi Haus, Herrenstraße 13. Lukas Müller from the State Center for Political Education will provide factual and neutral information about the upcoming elections with a focus on the local elections. Among other things, he will address the questions: What does the local council do? What does the local council decide? How does the election work? The event starts at 6.30 pm, lasts around an hour and can be attended free of charge without registration.
District rally
There is also an interactive opportunity to get to grips with the election during the Whitsun vacations in Dörfel. In a district rally for the whole family, knowledge questions about the election and democracy will be asked at a total of eight stations. The solution to the little riddle can also be found at the stations - in written form and via QR code. This also leads to a short video explaining the answer. The rally starts at the Dörfel district office, Josefstraße 1/1, and can be completed independently at any time during the Whitsun vacations.
